Number Of New Homes Increase For A Strong Year

  Our Goals

An important economic indicator was released today by the United States Census Bureau - the Housing Starts report. This economic report tells us how many permits were approved in November 2005 to build new homes in comparison to October 2005 and November 2004.For November 2005, the U.S. Census Bureau and Department of Housing and Urban Development announced that privately-owned housing starts were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 2,123,000. In comparison to October's estimate of 2,017,000, this is 5.3 percent incline. It also represents a 17.5 percent increase above the November 2004 rate of 1,807,000."With rates remaining within range of 40-year lows and new jobs continuously being created, homes sales are going to remain strong into the future," said Bob Walters, chief economist, Quicken Loans. "We'll close out 2005 as the strongest year for housing on record and 2006 is looking to be another robust year."  Mortgage News Home Current Headlines Next Article  Refinancing | Home Loans | Home Equity Loans | My Quicken Loans Login Mortgage News | Mortgage Rates | Mortgage Calculators | Apply Online About Us | Careers | Contact Us | Feedback | Site Map | Help | Search Security and Privacy | Disclosures and Licenses | Terms of Use © 2000 - 2005 Quicken Loans Inc., All rights reserved.
